Il film Precious, che la vede nel ruolo di un'assistente sociale, è candidato in ben 3 categorie:
- Best Motion Picture, Drama
- Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture, Drama - Gabourey Sidibe
- Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture, Drama - Mo'Nique
La cerimonia si terrà il 17 Gennaio al Beverly Hilton di Los Angeles.
